Materials Guide

Phthalate-Free

Phthalates are added to plastics to increase their flexibility, transparency, durability, and longevity.

UltraSKYN

UltraSKYN™, formerly known as UR3®, offers a truly realistic intimate experience. It's our best-selling Ultra-Realistic family of products. It is by far the most lifelike material in the industry. It perfectly mimics the feel and touch of human skin. UltraSKYN™ also offers progressive dual density in many options and provides a genuine lifelike feel, just like being with a real partner.

Realistic 5.0

R5® is our 5th generation Realistic® material that we specifically use for our Realistic® Cocks. It is believed that it perfectly blends the right amount of softness and rigidity, complimenting each other and delivering the realistic feel of an erect penis. R5® is made from PVC, is phthalate-free.

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Stryene

ABS is the most well-known hard plastic. The primary properties of ABS are impact resistance and toughness. ABS’s light weight and ability to be injection-molded and extruded make it useful in manufacturing a wide selection of products. Due to the fact that ABS is always in a hard state, it does not contain any plasticizers, which makes it ALWAYS phthalate-free and non-porous.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer resin (hard plastic) chosen for its safety and durability. This material is hypoallergenic and phthalate-free, easily cleaned by spraying with toy cleaners or washing with mild soap and warm water, and compatible for use with our silicone and water-based glides.

Polyvinyl Chloride

PVC is one of the most widely used materials in the world. It is used in such a wide variety of applications due to its durability and cost. In the adult market PVC allows the flexibility to make the toys soft, medium or firm. PVC also allows for a beautiful array of fun colors. You will find many of your favorite and bestselling toys made from this material; from vibrators to dongs to dildos and butt plugs, including items made abroad.

Thermoplastic Elastomer

TPE is commonly used materials due to their ease of manufacturing, cost effectiveness, and unique properties. Combining some of the best of plastic qualities, TPE has the ability to be used in a wide array of adult products. TPE does not need plasticizers to soften the material; therefore it is always phthalate-free. With strong tear strength, TPE can be made very soft without the threat of the product breaking down.

Thermoplastic Rubber

TPR is commonly used materials due to their ease of manufacturing, cost effectiveness, and unique properties. Combining some of the best rubber qualities, TPR has the ability to be used in a wide array of adult products. TPR does not need plasticizers to soften the material; therefore it is always phthalate-free. With strong tear strength, TPR can be made very soft without the threat of the product breaking down.

Silicone

Considered to be the most hygienic material in the adult market, silicone is widely used due to its nonporous and insert physical nature, durability, the ability to be thoroughly cleaned, and lack of phthalates. Silicone is a great replacement to PVC because it mimics a lot of the capabilities, softness and flexibility; for instance, while staying attractive to the more health-conscious consumer. Silicone is considerably more expensive than other materials due to its exceptional qualities and the process in which it is used to make products.
